Halo

May 30, 2024 - our theater students attended the Halo Awards in Waterbury, CT to be recognized for our theatrical productions this year. Schools from across the state participated, with Halos judges attending performances, selecting nominees for a variety of categories, and then announcing the award winners at the beautiful Palace Theater in Waterbury this week. Basically, it's the Tony Awards for CT High School Theater!

For our productions this year, the fall play "Much Ado About Nothing" and the spring musical "Matilda", our students received a total of SIXTEEN nominations, and last night took home THREE of the awards! Both of these statistics are a record for our theater program since I've been involved here. Additionally, "Much Ado About Nothing" was nominated for Best Classical Play, and "Matilda" was nominated for Best Contemporary Musical - a tremendous point of pride for all students involved and for our whole theater program!

If you see these talented and hard-working students around school, offer them some much-deserved congratulations!
