Assessment allows us to plan instruction that best meets our students' needs and it also allows us to evaluate how successful we are in achieving our goals. Informal assessments are assessments for learning and formal assessments are assessments of learning.

Internal assessments are ones that we have selected and external assessments are ones that we are required to participate in by the Connecticut State Department of Education.
